What is the problem with GMO?

Here’s a good interview with Ken Roseboro who runs The Organic & Non-GMO Report.

Only 8 minutes long, and a good one to show to family and friends who maybe aren’t yet up to speed with what a GMO is and why we should avoid them.

Ken recently appeared in the documentary GMO OMG.

You can watch an interview with¬†filmmaker Jeremy Seifert and see clips from the movie…

All the best,

Glyphosate and skyrocketing disease rates… connecting the dots.

Plant-killer Glyphosate (Roundup) was assumed to be harmless to humans because it interrupts the shikimate pathway in plants and kills them, and humans do not have this pathway.

What has now come to light is that our gut bacteria DO have the shikimate pathway, and by killing our good bacteria (we have 10 gut microbes for every human cell), a cascade of effects occurs which are devastating to health and are linked to autism, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic diarrhea, colitis and Crohn’s disease, obesity, cardiovascular disease, depression, cancer, cachexia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and ALS, and more.

In this video which is about one hour, GMO expert Jeffrey Smith talks to co-author of the new groundbreaking article just published in the journal Entropy, Stephanie Seneff, PhD, a Senior Research Scientist at MIT.

I consider this information to be of the utmost importance and it’s absolutely critical to understand. It shows how intimately our biology is connected to nature, how complex it is, and that by doing unnatural things to our food, we are on a path to more and more sickness, disease and suffering.

30 Days with Non-GMO Activist Leslie Stoddard

leslie2Leslie has decided to document 30 days of her life and broadcast it on YouTube. She’s the founder of GMO Free Idaho and has tons of interesting stuff to say about GMOs. If you follow her YouTube channel, you’ll get an email when each new video is posted.

The two videos there so far… The Introduction and Day 1 are very interesting and informative. Highly recommended.

Food forest: Is this the way food should be grown?

Entirely natural systems will work without any interventions. My garden has never seen a herbicide, pesticide, or fungicide. It produces abundantly. We need to develop complex synergies of food producing plants that need no inputs. That’s entirely possible.

For example, I read about a nitrogen crisis and yet many trees, climbers and ground cover plants like clover fix nitrogen. Also, natural animal urine is high in nitrogen. Nature has every answer. Continue reading

GMO Global Alert

A new study has called for a moratorium on GMOs. “This is a risk we cannot afford to take.” The new study done in France,¬† tested the effect of GMO corn on rats for 2 years. Previous studies lasted only ninety days. This video is highly recommended.
